Demand for hands-on, real-world training with The School of Natural Building (SNaB) is exceptionally high. Our courses are the most effective way to combine quality natural building education with tangible project progress.
To meet this enthusiasm and facilitate vital training for the next generation of builders in 2026, we urgently require committed building projects to partner with us as host sites.
Hosting a SNaB course is an intensive collaboration – a powerful win-win-win for the Host, the Students, and the School. This partnership requires a clear understanding and acceptance of the significant commitments outlined below.

Host Site Requirements
We seek partners who are prepared to manage and fund the overall project. SNaB provides the expertise, instruction, and the focused team to accelerate specific, agreed-upon work packages.
The Host’s Commitment
- Material Costs: The host is responsible for funding and supplying all building materials (straw, clay, lime, timber, etc.) required for the specific course work package.
- Project Management and Logistics: The host manages all wider project logistics, site safety, waste management, and paperwork outside of the core training hours.
- Mandatory Site Readiness: The site must be 100% prepared for the course activity. We have detailed instructions for different course formats about the required preparations and can support you getting ready.
SNaB’s Contribution:
- Progressing your build: We focus on accelerating one large, specific construction phase, such as raising all structural straw walls or applying a base coat of plaster.
- Expert Guidance and Inclusive Training: Our seasoned practitioners provide expert, hands-on instruction, ensuring high-quality, safe work is completed. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive learning environment for all participants.
- Enthusiastic and Guided Participants: Our learners are dedicated and energetic, keen to get stuck into all aspects of the course. A community that extends beyond the course duration is created.
- Full course management: promotion, ticketing, participant management and communications are all managed by our in-house team so you can focus on your build and the conditions to host the training.

Realistic Outcomes and Setting Expectations
Our goal is to progress your building project whilst delivering the highest quality practical training. However, we do not commit to completing any work package within the course timeframe. Completion depends entirely on factors like weather, student numbers, and the site’s complexity.
We consult thoroughly with every potential host to define genuinely achievable outcomes. All hosts are advised to build flexibility into their timelines and have follow-up plans (e.g., professional finishers, volunteer assistance, self completing) for work extending beyond the course scope.
Significant Advantage: As the host, you receive invaluable, hands-on building education by joining the course for FREE, leading to considerable cost and skill savings while actively advancing your own project.
If you have a serious, committed 2026 project that is ready for this partnership, we want to hear from you!
