A 5-day strawbale building course in East London. This course will be to build the straw bale walls of a large artist’s studio. The studio is part of Studio 3 Arts’ new multipurpose performance and community space. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a creative community project.
The course will cover practical aspects of strawbale building including how to dress and customise bales, notching, loadbearing and infill techniques, compression of the wall, and much more.
Salli Gosling will be your trainer. Salli is a Graduate of the School of Natural Building training programme and is also building her own strawbale house. She has been trained by Barbara Jones and Rae Parkinson. Salli will ensure course participants have a wonderful learning experience.
