Car Tyre Foundations: Moray, Scotland

11-13th May 2018
Keith, Moray – Scotland

This is the start of a new build in Morayshire, Scotland. When complete it will be a 1½ storey, traditional style croft house. The Glen of Newmill is just outside the town of Keith with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Set within 8 acres the land is stony clay; the house will be built using strawbales and naturally plastered with clay and lime.

In this first course we will be building car tyre foundations. Over the 3 days you’ll discover how to use
an upcycled material which would otherwise go to land fill, you’ll also learn all you need to know about
this fantastic alternative for building foundations – and with NO concrete in sight!

Pete Summers will be teaching on this course. With many years’ experience and an outstanding
reputation in the field of natural building, Pete ensures course participants have a fun, value packed week.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
